NOTE: The Web Site is currently in a Beta Test Version through April 1, 2007 and has NOT been released to the General Public or Advertised in a major Ad Campaign. Nor is this its final form. Nor is it finished being loaded. It's a huge undertaking. But guess what, we need it and the map that goes with it. Comments or Observations are Appreciated. Bob@Dallas-Design-District.com Most of the shops and businesses in The Dallas Design, Antique, & Arts District are available for you to browse and shop in. Some of the showrooms are "To the Trade Only", but those prohibitions, for the most part, pertain only to the Plaza Showrooms: i.e. The Decorative Center The International Design Plaza Dallas Design Center & The Oak Lawn Plaza. 1617 Hi Line Dr 150 Turtle Creek Blvd. 1025 N. Stemmons Frwy. 1444 Oak Lawn Ave. Some of the 36 Antique Dealers located on Slocum & Dragon Streets are oriented to the collector and I can pretty much guarantee a warm reception and exhilarating experience once you view the fine selections carried by these masters of the trade. Trammell Crow's Decorative Center is open for all to browse in and individual stores can set their own rules regarding "discounts and consideration" to the trade. Obviously, some showrooms are "to the trade only" because of the nature of their clientele and wholesale format. But for the most part, you are encouraged to browse and explore throughout the Design District for that special piece of furniture, art, or accessory you need. Virtually all merchandise is priced in a retail format. The Dallas Design, Antique & Arts District has definitely jumped outside its traditional boarders of Slocum, Dragon, Hi Line, and Oak Lawn. So be aware that some of your best "finds" might be hiding on or across Industrial Blvd. and Market Center Blvd. waiting to be discovered.
